Oh The Places We Went!

The year was 2025 and although its only 5 months into 2026, the adventures feel long ago.

So lets recap!

The GB shop crew went the distance and we wanted to share some of the details.

If you're looking for a cute retreat just outside the city then this tiny home is it! When you go, look for the Pumpkinhead VHS and live your spooky cabin best life, even if you go in January like we did.

The Spot

Lets talk the many times JP went to Vancouver. Februarys most notable experience was getting to support the MMIWG2S+ march and witnessing 3 bald eagles circle above in support during the whole day. This is an ongoing issue that requires far more awareness and advocacy. Attend events and support indigenous creators / organizations.

Then came Pride! in August, which is a great time to enjoy the colours, sounds, and ocean as the whole city comes alive with gay™.

Their last trek included attending the East side tattoo convention as booth bitch for the great Sloppyfolks. The convention was packed with talented artists and something worth keeping your peepers peeled for if you are looking for your next inked adventure. Otherwise check out this amazing artist (aka JP's best friend) Mikey B.

Back in Cowboy country, the crew attended the first Empire Barber Expo and got their hands on some amazing connections and education. If you noticed Gabby whip out some new tricks that April, that's why!

Speaking of education..May was the month you all would've missed us the most as we traveled to learn the Schorem way. Most of you have heard all our stories from the Netherlands so I will leave you with our  BTS album to look at instead. (HEADS UP! Some of these photos do contain artistic nudity from the various museums we went to)

July was another coast adventure this one being extra special for shop dog Tala as it was her first time at the ocean! Not only did she get to take a ferry but also got the chance to learn not all waters are created equally. Salt water + doggy tummy = much vomit... regardless she had the MOST fun.

September shenanigans brought the crew to the Wild FC Pride match where we got to support the community through mullets and collective cheering for our favorite local team.

( The 2026 season has just begun if you wanted to check out a game or two!)

And finally we reach spooky season. Did you know in Mossleigh, AB you can make your way through an adult only haunted house on a real train ride? We didn't either until we discovered the Train of Terror. If you want a new way to celebrate the best time of the year, the link is below.

And I can't leave out Talas favourite, all the walks taken year round.

Alright, that was 2025.

Thank you for being the best part of it and all your support. We always love hearing about your tales and hope you enjoyed this insight into ours!
